Internationally recognised symbols for packages, road tankers and freight containers.
Labels are printed on self adhesive vinyl and all diamonds conform to BS 5609. The British Standard is a specification for marine use, whereby the label (both material and ink) will withstand 3 months continuous immersion in sea water.
Current UN regulations (ADR, IMDG & IATA) state that on warning diamonds (other than those for material Class 7), the insertion of any text (other than the class or division number) below the symbol shall be confined to particulars indicating the nature of the risk and precautions.
Text to signify the nature of the risk is optional.
