Corning® Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-beta), human natural, 1µg, is a multifunctional protein that plays a central role in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation with either stimulatory or inhibitory effects. These growth factors have been used to promote long-term proliferation in cell culture and to induce cell differentiation in a variety of cell types under serum-free or reduced serum conditions.
- Formulation: Frozen in 36% acetonitrile-0.1% trifluoroacetic acid
- Caution: TGF-ß absorbs to glass and plastic surfaces (instructions for dilution are provided with the product)
- Source: human platelets, source material tested for hepatitis B antigen and HIV-1 antibody
- Molecular weight: 25 kD
- Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE
- Tested for ability to inhibit DNA synthesis of Mv 1Lu mink lung cells (ATCC CCL-64)
- Tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma
- Recommended concentration: 10-50pg/mL of medium depending on cell type and application
- Stable for at least three months at -70°C (if diluted according to instructions)
